The Final Frontier

Iron Maiden (鐵娘子樂(lè)隊(duì))早已憑借Two Minutes To Midnight和The Trooper被人熟知,成為最有影響的重金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)之一.這支被眾人效仿的成功的樂(lè)隊(duì)生存了20多年,在風(fēng)格上借鑒了Judas Priest.盡管媒體經(jīng)常對(duì)其報(bào)道,但I(xiàn)ron Maiden仍有著很強(qiáng)的地下樂(lè)隊(duì)的氣息.Iron Maiden作為一支英式金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)與Black Sabbath、Led Zeppelin等著名樂(lè)隊(duì)稱雄80年代,成為那個(gè)”搖滾黃金年代”的典范.

1980年,Iron Maiden出版了他們的同名專輯.雖然專輯出的很倉(cāng)促,但仍然給了當(dāng)時(shí)的英國(guó)樂(lè)壇以巨大震動(dòng).81年的Killers出版后,主唱Paul Di’Anno酗酒成癮, Bruce Dickinson于1982年取代了他的位置.1982年,The Number Of The Beast在新的主唱的加盟下,勇奪UK專輯榜冠軍,這使主唱Bruce在樂(lè)隊(duì)的主導(dǎo)地位完全確立了.而Iron Maiden也同時(shí)成了世界上最受歡迎的重金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)之一,他們的專輯、熱門(mén)單曲以及他們頗為壯觀的現(xiàn)場(chǎng)表演都在時(shí)時(shí)牽動(dòng)著眾多歌迷的心.在一舉成為世界明星后,Iron Maiden為了作品的國(guó)際化而改變了一些風(fēng)格,1983年出版了Piece Of Mind. 在1984年的Powerslave出版前,樂(lè)隊(duì)舉辦了一系列的巡演,獲得巨大成功.隨后1985年的雙張現(xiàn)場(chǎng)演出專輯Live After Death則收錄了此前樂(lè)隊(duì)所有的單曲.此時(shí)Iron Maiden已經(jīng)確立了自己強(qiáng)勁、獨(dú)特的樂(lè)隊(duì)風(fēng)格.在一段沉寂之后,Somewhere In Time的出版則從另一面展示了樂(lè)隊(duì)的才華.豐富的和聲以及漂亮的吉他段落,讓人感覺(jué)樂(lè)隊(duì)已日漸成熟.1988年的Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son則是自The Number Of The Beast最具思想性的專輯.

在一系列的巡回演出后,樂(lè)隊(duì)出現(xiàn)了人員危機(jī).先是吉他手Smith離開(kāi).雖然新吉他手Janick Gers加盟并在1990年樂(lè)隊(duì)出版了No Prayer For The Dying,但很快Dickinson也萌生去意.樂(lè)隊(duì)和Dickinson合作的最后一張專輯Fear Of The Dark于1992年出版.1993年出版了現(xiàn)場(chǎng)專輯A Real Live One以及A Real Dead One.而Dickinson 1995年重新歸隊(duì)后出版的The X Factor則被評(píng)價(jià)為Iron Maiden歷史最差專輯.之后的Best Of The Beast以及Ed Hunter也沒(méi)再能掀起波瀾.隨著重金屬的衰落,Iron Maiden也衰老了下去.

不管怎樣,Iron Maiden確實(shí)是重金屬鼎盛時(shí)代的一個(gè)代表樂(lè)隊(duì).那個(gè)時(shí)代是搖滾樂(lè)最輝煌的時(shí)代.
