RUSH，1968年成軍于加拿大多倫多，初期成員有作曲，鍵盤(pán)兼主唱的多才貝斯手Geddy Lee，吉他手Alex Lifeson，鼓手John Rutsey 以及后來(lái)替代John Rutsey 的鼓手兼作詞Neil Peart。
樂(lè)隊(duì)1974年三月發(fā)行了樂(lè)隊(duì)同名專(zhuān)輯《RUSH》后，憑著高超的樂(lè)隊(duì)成員樂(lè)器技術(shù)，復(fù)雜的編曲，含義深遠(yuǎn)，富有哲理而不失煥麗的歌詞。開(kāi)始受到音樂(lè)界的廣泛關(guān)注。
他們音樂(lè)內(nèi)容涉及了政治，社會(huì)問(wèn)題，環(huán)境等問(wèn)題。他們的音樂(lè)形式是硬搖滾和前衛(wèi)金屬的完美結(jié)合。
至今為止RUSH的成員，已經(jīng)是年過(guò)50的老人了。
