1985年，一場(chǎng)慘劇打擊了如今的鄉(xiāng)村明星姐妹，Shelby Lynne Moorer 和 Allison Moorer。在一場(chǎng)爭(zhēng)執(zhí)中，她們的父親舉槍射擊妻子，然后把槍口對(duì)準(zhǔn)了自己。姐姐Lynne當(dāng)時(shí)17歲，慘劇后留給她的責(zé)任是將其13歲的妹妹撫養(yǎng)長(zhǎng)大。以往，這對(duì)姐妹都沉浸于音樂(lè)制作，而對(duì)成長(zhǎng)中遇到的各種困難閉口不談。

2010年春天，獲得過(guò)奧斯卡和格萊美提名的歌曲作家Allison Moorer帶著她全新的原創(chuàng)專(zhuān)輯《Crows》回歸了。新專(zhuān)輯在體裁上與以往專(zhuān)輯均不同，就猶如一本文雅的收藏集。大部分新作的創(chuàng)作及伴奏都通過(guò)鋼琴來(lái)完成，內(nèi)容是十分個(gè)人化，整體風(fēng)格成熟內(nèi)斂，旋律流暢而布滿(mǎn)爆發(fā)力十足的細(xì)節(jié)。專(zhuān)輯由著名的納什維爾制作人 R.S. Field (Buddy Guy, John Mayall)制作。

這并不是一張“情歌飛滿(mǎn)天”的專(zhuān)輯，而更傾向于講述生活中一則則小事。正如同專(zhuān)輯名《Crows》所暗含的那般，烏鴉常常是不幸、悲劇的象征，整張專(zhuān)輯聽(tīng)來(lái)有些悲傷、沉重。最新單曲“The Broken Girl”(破碎的女孩)，個(gè)人推薦“Should I Be Concerned”、“Still This Side Of Gone”等。
